Welcome to our December newsletter in 2016. It has been a busy time since the last issue and we have had some interesting projects to complete. Projects Completed in 2016 This scheme is for Origin Housing and comprises of 21 residential flats and 1 commercial space; with 2 units being wheelchair accessible. The commercial space, which is integral to this development, is located on the ground floor, with its main entrance on Park Parade. The commercial unit has its own gas, water and electric services. SDB is pleased to announce the achievement of Investors In People Accreditation.
Low energy construction has always been a particular interest of ours and we are pleased to note that this has progressed into projects to Passivhaus standards. We have completed two such projects, both residential; one for a private client and the other for Dacorum Council and we are now working on our third, Akerman Road for Lambeth Council. We are particularly suited to this type of project as our directly employed stable workforce means that skills acquired in one project can be easily transferred to the next. We have shown on all three schemes that we can build to the exacting airtightness standards required by Passivhaus.

We are happy to announce that fibre optic installation at our offices. Everything is up and running, however this couldn’t happen without all team members and Networkfish’s effort. This project has been funded via the IT Grant Scheme by the Government. Within this scheme we have been able to replace the quite old main infrastructure running into the office and a new router as well.
