Earlier this month Sandwood was happily notified that we had been awarded not one but two of the INCA Awards for 2013 . The Insulated Render and Cladding Association recognised the best EWI (External Wall Insulation) projects of the year. Our Harrow project, Boxtree Lane was nominated and took the award for the ‘Domestic New Build’ category but also came out on top winning the overall award for ‘Project of the Year’ which was between projects from all categories. Our hard work and collaboration with Alumasc / ALD Plastering Contractors has obviously paid off.
Sandwood are the proud sponsors of Enfield Council and Enfield Racial Equality Council’s Black History Month celebrations for yet another year. The celebrations include a comedy evening for over 18s and ‘Enfield’s Got Talent’ which will showcase performances of signing, dancing, poetry and more.
Inside Housing have unveiled their ‘Top 50 UK Affordable Housing Developments’ with two Sandwood projects making the cut! Boxtree Lane, Harrow and Dawes Road, Fulham were both judged on their funding, land, planning, sustainability, design, employment and resident testimonials. Boxtree’s “zero-carbon-ready” approach and Dawes’ “valuable community hub” give them unique qualities which stand out from the rest.
Sandwood are happy to announce they have been awarded a 2013 Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Award for Dawes Road, Fulham. The Dawes Road project was completed in November 2012 for Shepherds Bush Housing Group. Paul Archer, the site manager at Dawes Road, was presented with the award at a ceremony held in early May.
